Update

Cora has started a trial that combines chemo with an investigational anti-parasitic drug. She will be splitting time between Children’s Hospital of Minneapolis and Helen DeVos children’s hospital in Grand Rapids MI. In about two weeks we will begin to have an idea if this treatment is shrinking the cancer. Thanks for all your well wishes.

Terrible news

Yesterday we found out that Cora has relapsed. Not sure yet to what extent, but her doctors are not hopeful. The only treatment options now are clinical trails, which we are investigating and will be deciding soon where to continue treatment. She feels really good, except knee pain. SO SUCK IT CANCER, we are going to gymnastics class and preschool.

Full remission !

We want to thank God and everyone for your support and prayers. Today Cora was declared in full remission. Best Christmas present ever! Sent from my iPad

Round 2 of immunotherapy resulted in a severe allergic reaction and a stay in the ICU. Based on her reaction her docs are changing the remainder of her treatment, so only 3 more rounds to go!

Moving on

We have successfully moved! Kansas was very good to us, but we are excited to be starting a new chapter in Minneapolis, MN. The kids love their new park.

A Radiation Dream

Cora started radiation last week, she has 12 treatments in total. She is a rock star, the best 3 year old they have ever had. She lays in the room all by herself for 15 minutes, singing while she gets treatment.

Feeling better

Cora is feeling better! Hi everyone!

Serious complication

Cora was admitted to the hospital last Friday. She has developed venous occlusive disease, which is a side effect of the high dose chemo she received during transplant. It was a bit of a touch and go weekend, but now her numbers are starting to suggest her liver may be healing itself. She is quite swollen and in pain, please pray for her.
